Titanium

TODAY'S SONG OF THE DAY is my FAVE!

Ever since it came out it has made me feel better no matter how hard my life seems, or how bad my day had been. Whenever I felt I didn't want to slide out of bed and start my day I'd crank this baby on and my life would be complete. It defines the life that everyone should view. To never give up and be strong no matter how many bullets try to knock you down! The pounding beat allows your mind to push those hurting you away from you. Strong pulses of honor lets you believe you can do anything. That's why this song is so riveting and inspiring for me, because it's beat carries me to a place of acceptance and freedom. Where no one or nothing can touch me. Where nothing can bruise me. Where no one can judge me. It's just me and the beat. In just 4 minutes, something so wonderful takes me cold-hearted and brings me back to reality in smiles.

When no one wants to hear the truth.
When you feel that words only get in the way.
Don't let the bullets fight.
Let your heart fight for you.
Believe your made of Titanium.
Where the bullets ricochet.
Believe you are bullet-proof glass.
Nothing can break you.
Because: sing it - I AM TITANIUM!

I have to be honest. I do LOVE this song. Enjoy!

The Last Unicorn

When life gives you lemons make golden nuggets and sell them for lots of money. But instead of becoming greedy and letting your pride consume you, give it all away. Jump the running bus and take the crooked train. There's braille for the deaf and a sign post for the blind. Heaven for the cruel but the devil waits for the kind. Pollen catches the end of your skirt and the ants make a trail for the end of your hurt. You search for years but you lose everything that you find. Pencil to paper, draw your life. A dream in the hands of God but a storm stopped you in your tracks. Mother nature takes control and blows you away from happiness. Let's teach the birds to swim and all the fish to fly. Pure and as innocent as a child. As bright and colourful as a polka dot room. If only we could walk forever to find a sublime love. The only love that I need. To search forever for a kind love. The only love I see. A child talks and asks as many ridiculous questions. An adult answers them with an underlying truth of a lie. An old crone speaks to tell their story of love and truth of their life. Unconditional truth. A pregnant lady aches. But laughs with happiness. New life and eyes open. A leaf falls to the sound of the trees blowing. The light dies from the fireworks fading. Let's dance under the white moon because there's no stars inside tonight. The naked trees are free. Your hair dances in the breeze waiting impatiently to the white noise. And laughing to my own jokes. Your bright eyes must be a hoax. Keep striding with that tattoo up over your shoulder. Does it make you feel important with what you have told her? Coffee stain and red wine lips. Your tears go well with crying clouds and whips. Find a hand to help you keep your head above the water. That hand you had but should have fought for. Mirrors see what you truly are through his eyes of a reflection. He sees perfection. The image in the mirror shows something less pure. You pull away the mask, the magic is to lure. From shadows to grey and swings to stretch, another day of unmistakable sorrow. But a melody always helps me fins who I am again.

Turning Tables

Why is it that we listen to the screeching and heartfelt, popular tunes of the music box when a part of our lives seems to be attached to every song that seeps through? As sad as it sounds it's exactly what Ne-yo sings "So sick of love songs so sad and slow, but why can't I turn off the radio?"  It's like we're addicted to rejecting any type of feeling that seems right, we can never move on. It only takes time - it's true but the question is 'do we actually want to move on?' Our lives are full of 'signs' and 'moments' that create this illusion of a fairytale life, sometimes we believe so deeply that our body and minds sync with understanding what is right when it is clearly wrong. It's those life changing moments that draws a rollercoaster ride of waves down the beach of doom. It's those signs that direct us around the same bends again and again. We make, break and start over. Starting over, what does this mean? This is where I introduce you to my song of the day. I have been inspired by several things today to write this blog. One song, a precious and tragic song, brought tears. My heart pounding, my chest tight, my throat on the crisp of choking and the lump just sat there like this moment in my life was so pure and true in the words that were sung. Solitude, desperation, confusion, animosity. All. Bittersweet. I despise the fact that today's song is by Adele. Because I love her, and my reason to use her is just bitter hostility. But here it is, Adele you say it perfectly. And I hope one day I can look back and thank you for your purity and emotion, for today though there are no thanks - only tears.

With pity and sorrow I give you the song of the day: Turning Tables by Adele.

Close enough to start a war
All that I have is on the floor
God only knows what we're fighting for
All that I say, you always say more

I can't keep up with your turning tables
Under your thumb, I can't breathe

So I won't let you close enough to hurt me
No, I won't ask you, you to just desert me
I can't give you, what you think you give me
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables
To turning tables

Under haunted skies I see you, ooh
Where love is lost, your ghost is found
I braved a hundred storms to leave you
As hard as you try, no I will never be knocked down

I can't keep up with your turning tables
Under your thumb, I can't breathe

So I won't let you close enough to hurt me, no
I won't ask you, you to just desert me
I can't give you, what you think you give me
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables
Turning tables

Next time I'll be braver
I'll be my own savior
When the thunder calls for me
Next time I'll be braver
I'll be my own savior
Standing on my own two feet

I won't let you close enough to hurt me, no
I won't ask you, you to just desert me
I can't give you, what you think you give me
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables
To turning tables
Turning tables, yeah
Turning ohh

MY PLAY

A girl. A boy. One wall. Two worlds. An eternal love married by the perfection of two souls. Whispers tell a different story and by their words the two souls were never meant to unite. Where are they? Who are they? It's a just girl and a boy. Stuck. Stuck in a world beyond their imaginations, beyond their existence. Decisions. Only one decision needs to be made. He is dead. She is half way from Hell and three quarters closer to Heaven. She must decide whether to listen to the whispers of her loved ones or live forever with the one she called her Husband. It may be a love story to some, a tragic but beautiful love story, to others it may be the questions of what is beyond the state of this so called comatose. Whatever it may be, it is my story of two people. It's a story of a girl named Kali and a boy named Samson who loved one another unconditionally. Now to mold a dance through the cotton bud fields where they'll wait for their creator or for Samson to walk alone.

Elephant

Dimples. And shades upon the creases
Red. But not so black around the eyes
Rent. For another two weeks of leases
Smiles. To say goodbye with fearless cries
Mild. Breeze comforts the sunshine rays
Glass. Half empty of pulped orange juice
Digital. Waves of white noise soothing days
Sun. To abscond the night at width pews

A random feeling today of nothing but home bound comforts. I woke late, cleaned the house, did the shopping, wrote, sang, ate, listened, felt, embraced, thought, watched, enrolled, researched, spent money, enjoyed donuts, scratched, waited, and now am consumed by the randomness in this world. I choose today's song honestly by random. I typed in 'Elephant lyrics' in google search and chose the first link on the page. It turned out to be a beautiful song. Random days sometimes turn out to be the best days of your life. They may change your perspective on the world completely and help you decide what you can do to rebuild the love and passion in your life. Today wasn't one of those for me, but something did happen. And I'm very grateful for that something. That thought and ambition of today.

Plans

We make plans to kiss the sun at night.

Make your own plans. Sit down for an hour and write all the things you've wanted to do in your life and take time to achieve each one. Sort of like a bucket list though not thinking about the dying part - just living. Have you ever been hot air ballooning over the Alps? Or went skiing in a tutu? Ever donated a whole weeks pay to a charity? Ever sung for a celebrity? All of these things are possible and if you want them to happen you can make it happen. Just to add on... Think positive. The more you think in a positive way, I assure you your life will feel much happier and brighter each day. Give everyone a cheerful smile and let that good karma radiate around you. Be good to others and speak kindly. Love every day, do the things you love doing and just smile.

Several Ways To Die Trying

When the intention is lost. When the fight is barred. Sometimes new beginnings is a heart-wrenching idea and it's not until we say goodbye that we truly understand what we've said goodbye too. When a heart is broken it deepens into a dark and cold place because all it remembers is the why it happened and asks questions of how it happened. The same things go through our minds like a broken record scratched a thousand times. It's all an illusion, our minds play tricks because we don't want to know the truth until we can accept it within ourselves at the right time. When a heart is broken the mind is diffused. Diffused by reality. What the heart needs to do in order for it's blind eyes to see again is to ask our higher powers, our positive aura, a strength from God to show us the reasons why everything happens for it's own purpose. We need to ask them to reveal the inner truth and to ask for guidance in making us feel a positive force of what life really is. I believe everything does happen for a reason, whether that is to say for good or for worse, we all make mistakes and get driven along a bumpy side road at some point in our lives - but we learn. We learn not to make that mistake again. Even if it takes three or four times before we truly realise that the road we walk is just a vicious and dark, never ending circle. Sometimes those trails are lead by someone else. Or maybe it used to be a track where you'd be walking along the sandy beaches of an orange sunset and suddenly became the tempest. But 'life isn't a movie and we can't expect to live like the movies'. It's true we can't live like the characters in our favourite movies or experience the exact moment of our favourite scenes but we can make our own movies and we can create our own happy endings, we can still live a happy and movie-like life. You'd be surprised at where happiness comes from. Happiness isn't about the 'good life' or the 'easy life' or the 'expensive life', it's about loving everything in your world and embracing what you have. It's about finding the smallest things to enjoy and appreciating every detail of your unwritten story. It's about appreciating the people who keep you on your feet and those who have always believed and supported you. No matter how tough. No matter how wrong. No matter how petty. If you don't appreciate the love in this world you will never understand the true potential of a passion. If you don't give love, you will simply get no love in return. And always remember there is no such thing as giving away all of your love because what goes around comes back around. Give all your love and all your smiles and all your laughs and all your energy, it will come back to make your life more amazing then you ever imagined. You will begin to love every moment and will understand what the word 'peace' means. This next passage says it all and if we thrive to understand what it is being said in these words, we all have the chance to live a wonderful and loving life. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. If we step back and choose to not, it may just be too late and the faith and hope within our minds may perish. For a tree to grow more beautiful and greener it needs a firm foundation. For it to be strong and to stand tall in the winter it needs a blanket of protection and it definitely needs nourishing for it to bloom in the spring time. Without these the tree is nothing but a flaccid corpse.

Live by these words and smile, for the tree is love. Don't let haste linger:

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Running Back

Waking to the stormy weather of Brisbane. Sitting in bed at 9:30am. No work. No commitments. Bliss. But the silence is more deadly than a brown snake's bite on a household guinea pig. It's these slow days that lets your mind roam your wildest dreams, the saddest memories, it makes you appreciate your loving acquaintances, the things you have and makes you remember the kind words people have said to make you smile. It's these mornings when you just want something more out of life, or when you realise you've been kind to settle, or when you have everything you need but there's always that one thing that cramps your style. Today is full of temperamental emotion, so here I leave you with some random quotes from my random quotes app from my phone and a song I heard on the radio this morning that made me weep just a little.

~ You are beautiful. Don't let anyone get you down
      - Megan Elizabeth
~ Remember there's no such thing as a small act of kindness.
Every act creates a ripple with no logical end
      - Scott Adams

      - George Shaw
~ Instead of loving your enemies, treat your friends a little better
      - Ed Howe

      - Martin Luther King
~ Ideologies seperate us. Dreams and anguish brings us together
      - Eugene Ionesco
~ Where all men think alike. No one thinks very much
      - Walter Lippmann
~ Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced
      - Soren Kierkegaard
~ God offers to every mind its choice between truth and repose.
Take which you please, you can never have both
      - Ralph Waldo Emerson
~ Life is not complex. We are complex.
Life is simple and the simple thing is the right thing
      - Oscar Wilde
~ Teach this triple truth to all; A generous heart, kind speech
And a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity
      - Buddha
~ Children are the world's most valuable resource
And its best hope for the future
      - John F. Kennedy
~ Hope is a waking dream
      - Aristotle
~ Happiness is the only sanction of life; where happiness fails,
Existence remains a mad and lamentable experiment
      - George Santayana
~ The success of love is in the loving, it is not in the result of loving.
Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person,
But whether it turns out that way or not does not
Determine the value of what we have done
      - Mother Teresa
~ Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice.
It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved
      - William Jennings Bryan
~ Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul
And sings the tune without words and never stops at all

Live

Today's song is again not a song it is a quote in the words of Bede Griffiths:

To be mindful is to live in the present moment, not to be imprisoned in the past, nor anticipating a future that may never happen. When we are fully aware of the present, life is transformed and the strain and stress disappear. So much of modern life is a feverish anticipation of future activity and excitement. We have to learn to step back from this into the freedom and possibility of the present."

What he is saying is priceless advice! Don't worry about what is in your past, it is exactly that. And those who love you will stick to you like glue no matter what because they love you for who you are now. Don't worry about your future, you have no idea what's coming up so it's inevitable to think otherwise. Just go with it and see where the wave takes you.

Another short one... That is all.

Your Choice!

The things that make you laugh. Seriously, think about the things that make you burst into laughter and pull you to the ground because your stomach is about to have a period. What are the things that you cannot possibly hold your breath for because it is just too damn funny. A song? Introvert extrovert, doesn't matter. Or a youtube clip of Asian TVshow pranks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvbEiGa8kPk Or a lame joke that just never gets old? What do you call a fly with out wings? A walk! Or seeing someone trip over, laughing and then being concerned if they are ok, then laughing again when you know they are okay. Or the person on the bus sitting next to you who thinks if i can't here myself singing to my ipod then no one else can. Or when someone does a random crazy dance in front of you. Or when a funny, non-lame, non-racial, non-sexist page is made on facebook like Side hugs suck, give me a real hug pansy!

There is no song of the day for today, unless it makes you laugh. No more of this teenage angst romance rubbish. No more doof doof because it makes you feel high. No more of the tranquil pilates music. I want things that make you laugh and cack yourself. Things that make you pee your pants to. Not almost pee your pants, I mean literally can't stop it, it's coming out, I'm weeping, unstoppable pee in my pants. Everyone needs a good laugh sometimes if not more often. It should make you feel alive and just that little bit happier. Be amused. Have a spontaneous giggle. LET IT OUT! :D :D :D ... That is all.

Hero

It starts with a kiss.
And ends with tears.
Fixed with a laugh.
On life it steers.

The typical words of a life story in this general world. With pain and smiles and breaks and kisses. What would life be without those who break you, what would life be without those who bring you back up, what would life be without the ones who would die for you, or the ones who just don't care. People will walk in through your home with muddy and inconsiderate intentions and then there are those who bring a mop to give a hand for the clean up. There are people who have clean shoes then leave a biscuit pile after their homely visit. There are ones who dirty everything but will do anything to clean up their mess. Everyone has there own story and their own pair of shoes to prove it. The thing that others need to understand is that no one knows the story better than the one whos been walking in those shoes for journeys on end. This is a cryout to all those who need comfort and to those who need someone to talk to, to be loved, to feel like they are worth something. To those who feel like they've been walked on tirelessly after giving so much and wonder why noone is helping them up or giving anything in return. It isn't because you're doing something wrong or what you do isn't enough, it just may be that you're not in the right place with the right people. Learn from your highs and bottom drops, understand who truly appreciates what you do for them. And if you find them, do everything you can for them because only then is when you've found the right place. If your shoes are feeling flat or musky, go out, go find adventure, take your shoes where you've never been before. Take no one but yourself and see what tracks you can find. Someday you'll come back and you may have found the right people and the right person. Some may be the same, and you might have found some great new ones on the way back. It all starts within you and you must be in the right world with the right people at the right time to give your everything to another.

A kiss starts with one person giving to another. A true kiss begins with two people coming together. Don't give everything unless the other can give you their everything and appreciate what you give. I think the perfect song for someone who feels they have found the person of their dreams is in the beautiful lyrics of Enrique's Hero.

Would you dance, if I asked you to dance?
Would you run, and never look back?
Would you cry, if you saw me crying?
And would you save my soul, tonight?

Would you tremble, if I touched your lips?
Would you laugh? Oh please tell me this
Now would you die, for the one you love?
Hold me in your arms, tonight

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away

Would you swear, that you'll always be mine?
Or would you lie? Would you run and hide?
Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind?
I don't care you're here, tonight

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away

Oh, I just wanna hold you
I just wanna hold you, oh yeah
Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind?
Well I don't care you're here, tonight

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain, oh yeah
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away

I can be your hero,
I can kiss away the pain
And I will stand by you, forever
You can take my breath away

Don't listen to anyone but yourself. Go for anything you feel is right in your heart. Because you'll never know unless you try it. If you fail and fall hard, pick yourself up and keep trying. Keep walking on in those magical shoes that you call your own pair. Noone can slide their foot in your shoes because noone can live your life for you. Live and smile, cry if you have to. Just feel like you can live for yourself and noone else. If something angers you show it. Express your feelings. And be considerate of others pathways and tracks. If something makes you happy, tell the world. Let someone fix you with a laugh and all will be glad. I don't think I could finish this blog justly. It's a topic I have many thoughts on and can branch out into many other thoughts. Just remember, no one is worth your love more than yourself. Until you find the person who is more worthy than you, it's just you and the rest of your adventure.

With one simple line of saying your thanks, the positive energy on Earth will flow through all who walk on its plains. The places you have set foot, the people you have spoken with, the kisses you have endured, the laughs that seemed never ending. The coffee barista who managed to make your frown turn warm and fuzzy. The taxi man singing with the radio, and you, on the way to work. The security guard stopping you only to ask if you are guilty of being human. Alanis says it all... And may I Thank her for inspiring today's song of the day!

Hardest of Hearts

what is the definition of meaning. what truly is meant of something in this world. if we did nothing with our existence we could live on. if we did everything we wanted we would still live on. when we live for ourselves it is not what God asks of us. if we did everything for others we would die of exhaustion. a boy down the street is always getting caught stealing mars bars from the local store, his punishment – to help the old lady carry her groceries every Friday morning. a boy up the boulevard howls at his mother for not buying him a motorbike, his punishment – playing a computer game. a boy down the road is without home, always prying with dogs in the night, rummaging through garbage bins and tins, his punishment – life. strong stories come from the lives of such simple beings. to help to appreciate to survive. offerings are to be generous not an act for self satisfaction, remember that. gratitude be something for which is neglected, we must appreciate everything we encounter. endure the sacrifice of life, express the pain and live with love. though meaning must have a meaning. our lives must be filled with purpose or wonder or dreams or meaning. deep within a void of crimson beats, what deceit fills you. what language does your tongue prevail. the drumming air of which evil does you harm, what hears of it. and such beaded sense, will your gaze perceive integrity. is there such meaning in fate or is everything a mere coincidence. is destiny succumbed to death or will technology prevail. if every question removed its mark it would be but a statement. no fun that would be. because life is full of meaningless errors and questions and anonymous and without these we would have no purpose on Earth. fill in the blanks correct the grammar add anything you please. this is your life and live it by the fees.

Good Riddance

Look to see beauty written in the sky,
To watch all the gleaming stars for a little while,
Then spin around the dusty shore as fast as you pry
And leave a dusty trail as you stumble for a mile.
Trip up the rocky steps
And glide down mountains and valleys,
Swim against the ocean saepe,
Possess what it carries.
The journey delivers the absurd
Of lemons, gold and fire.
With all the colours of the world,
We become our natural dyer.
Branches and leaves and moisture and sleet,
Kind and pale it falls firm on our heads.
The warmth that beams is obsolete,
The season won't change as the winter gainsaid.

The weather changes constantly and humans live on Earth to witness the beauties of such a divine world. In the mundane we encounter hundreds if not thousands of decisions, consciously and subconsciously. It's the moments when important choices need to be made where sometimes things are too hard to choose between. A career change, life partner, overseas trip, family ties, promises. All the strongest commitments in life are the hardest to make clear. Sometimes it takes a short while to finally come to terms with a decision. The mind of a child is simple, like the air through the trees - they're exposed to it, they receive it, it is simple. The adult mind however has been exposed to many a choices therefore makes a situation more difficult. The more possibilities, the greedier the mind. We begin to start thinking of 'what is the best decision' 'what would give me more money' 'what is easiest' 'what would others think of me'. If things weren't supposed to be challenging we could count on flipping a coin. If things were that simple we'd all invest in a handy 8 ball.

Take a moment for yourself, breathe in and truly feel who you are at this moment in time. What are your most wanted desires, what are your most essential needs, what are the positives in each of your choices, do the positives outnumber the negatives? These moments in your life will change you forever and mould you into the person who you will become. Choosing wisely does not always mean choosing the right pathway, as you can always learn from whatever journey you take. Just remember to enjoy your life, no matter what negativity becomes of it. Trust your own instincts and decide whats best for you. Take advice from the wise owls above and know it will always be your final say. When life gives you lemons give them away and pick your own fruit. Because it is in your own destiny to be proud and filled with happiness; no one can buy you happiness but you can find it within yourself. Fate sets us up and makes fools of us all but we can smile and cheer when we find that true love in our life called bliss.

Make the most of what you've got.
Lessons are learnt.
It's never that predictable.
But in the end it's always right.
Have the best time of your life.

Song of the day - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day

Monday, June 20

Where is the love?

The things we degrade. The people who gossip. The stuff that makes us angry. The negative in our lives. The moments we feel dead. The days we don't want to wake up. When the iPhone becomes iPhone5. The relationships we throw away. When everything goes wrong. Where nothing goes right. The cold is too cold. The hot is too hot. When you get bad news do you lay down and cry? Should a bad hair day ruin someone else's? When the rain smudges your makeup do you blaspheme at your God? When your glass of bubbly has no bubbles do you scream and shout and throw your glass down? The things we take for granted. The advantages in our lives. The happiness that stumbles in front of us when we least expect it. The beauty surrounding us. The things we neglect to notice. We must take every moment and smile at these painful days. The hysterics of laughing at the boy who tripped up the stairs, even though we all know it hurts. Life should be amazing. Life should feel amazing. Obviously not all the time but it doesn't hurt to try and love the life you live. Stop to pick the flowers creeping through the pavement cracks. Learn to make the one you love as happy as you want to feel loved. Help the old lady carry her groceries to the car. Don't fight with your mumma just say sorry. Don't assume someone else's story is any better than yours. Don't assume your story is any more amazing than theirs. If your life seems tough think of all the things you have. Be grateful for that warm bed. Be grateful for the food you eat. It's easy to forget how easy we have it in this life when others struggle to breathe. The love in this world, I feel, is stronger. But it needs to be even more prominent. War is present. Peace is coming. Believe. Where is your love? Who is your love? What do you love in this world? Be positive and don't be judgmental of others. You don't know their story, but remember they don't know yours either. Be yourself. Be love. Be Happy.

Sail Away

It's those moments in life when you need a break
from your mundane routine.
Getting away from
University
Study
Work
Family
Friends
Stress
Negativity
Everything
It's those moments in life when you just want to sail away into the horizon and never want to return. Imagining a sunset beach with a glass of red, fingers stroking through the soft white sand. Rose confetti petals scattered on your king bed, resort-island getaway. And no one to bug you or demand written papers due in two days. Just serenity. Bliss. Calm. Vacation.

I chose to talk about travel because soon I am bound overseas myself. Starting in Cairo following Egypt and the Pyramids of Giza making our way through the sacred and spiritual Holy Land and finishing in Madrid for a world wide, Catholic-Christian, praise and worship gathering of thousands if not millions of people to celebrate the one and only ...Jesus! Initiated by the great and remarkable Pope John Paul II in 1985 World Youth Day is a youth-oriented Catholic Church event. Though the event itself celebrates Catholic faith, the invitation extends to all youth, regardless of religious convictions. It's an amazing affair, especially those seeking or pursuing a spiritual connection with God and to share that experience with other believers. The atmosphere is incomprehensible for words. The whole experience is pure in such divinity. Putting aside all religion and beliefs, any gathering of people who love and connect on the same level is magical. And what better than to spend it during a holiday or a break from your life.

Everyone deserves a break. Everyone deserves to have a vacation once in a while. So why not go all out and see the world on your way to recuperating the body, mind and soul. Go see the chocolate mountains of The Philippines. Go explore the Amazon of Portuguese. Sail the high seas and go somewhere you have never been before, the place you've always wanted to experience.

The best place to start is within
the familiarities of your own surroundings...
...then GO EXPLORE THE WORLD as you please!

Last Day On Earth

Premonitions from a dream, just how they seem
The feeling so true, it's what they call de ja vu!

Looking over to see the trees blowing
Looking up to see the stars exploding
The ground is falling
The skies are crumbling
And the world is accommodating the changes
we have brought.
Is it God
Is it Human
Is it Extra Terrestrial
Can the Earth protect itself anymore from what
we have produced and built on top of it
Or is this natural.

Doomsday
Rapture
2012
Aztec
Life
Religion
Earth
Destruction

What could all these words possibly mean?
Yes one day the Earth may be destroyed. How and when is inevitably argumentative. People have these premonitions and prophecies of the world's destruction all the time. Prophecies and 'visions' from God or just pure sleep deprived dreams relate to ones life and mirror the feelings and experience that person is going through. Who knows if these visions are true to it's meaning, who knows if the one who sees these things are reading them correctly. And if they are true what can they do anyway. If God is truly speaking through to you with these destructive and horrible Earth crumbling images why tell the world if they won't believe you. Ask God how to show them if it's what he wants.
If the world is going to end, be happy with what you've had in this life. Remember the good times, remember the good people, remember why you belonged here, and seek an afterlife if you wish. Believe there is something worth living for: on earth, beyond and forever more. Instead of living in the wait for the ground to fall away at your feet tell the one you love you cannot live without them and do everything you can for them.
Waiting for 2012 or the next hoax end of the world is pathetic. Go live. If you have these dreams, change your life to be happy because dreaming about storms and disasters reflect the way you feel. Control your life the way you want to live. When you can do that you'll be able to accept the day you die - whenever that shall be.

All Good Things

The closest people in your life are usually the ones who seem the furtherest away. Especially when you need them the most. The ones who once held your hand is now holding someone else's. The friend who once showed you the whole world is now a smear of hazy smoke. The pure sanctuary called home suddenly becomes a fiery heartache. Now the teary droplets just fall to the ground, no one there to wipe them. Flames to dust. Lovers to friends. Every second of the day someone somewhere in the world sheds a tear, laughs in hysterics, falls in love, falls out of love, tells a lie, reveals the truth, hurts another soul, mends a heart, loses a friend, and meets their straw to their berry. People walk in and out of our lives everyday and sometimes we lose the people who have imprinted the largest footstep on our hearts. Is it just fate? We question why we have to bid our farewells to these loved ones. We question truth and why the truth sometimes hurts so much. Is it fair to say sometimes not knowing the truth is better than suffering the pain of the actual truth? Some would beg to differ. Truth is an integral part to any relationship and without the genuine certainty, that relationship will eventually fade. So my heart tonight goes to those who feel they have lost the people most important to them.

Remember: "Those who don't matter, mind. And those who matter, don't mind"

Oh Happy Day

Easter Feaster.
Good Friday through to Easter Tuesday just amazes me with the amount of blessings that is poured into my life on this weekend. Every year around this time it just feels like the most magical of weekends. Especially this year; it has been a beautiful experience. Becoming a sponsor for a newly baptised friend, celebration of Easter, of course the chocolate treasure hunt with my little cousins, seeing friends, wonderful mass and the remembrance of Jesus' death. The most heartfelt part of Easter, besides the acknowledgement of the special times in the church calender, is the weekend to be Holy with the whole family. Which for us means karaoke. The wonderful celebrations that bring us together are also the sad and sacrificial times of Jesus' life who was nailed to the cross, who died for our sins. His sacrifice has given us the beauty of life and for us it is our filo style Easter - one none to beat. Masses of food and karaoke are the two things that will always be, with no doubt, at a Filipino celebration. I'm so privileged to be a part of my family and the crazy times we have together. Without each person in my family, without the drama, without the love, without the beauty, without the karaoke, without the fun, without the faith, and without culture I would feel like a book without pages. Each part of my family is a page of my book of life. And only them fulfill my so called oh happy days.

Mama

A lot of people in this country don't truly appreciate the opportunities and privileges that this wondrous and beautiful Australia gives us. People take our land for granted and do not realise how comfortable our lives are. Most people do not understand the advantages they have over others in the world because they are so content with their own lives and are driven by mundane routine. They forget the significance and treasure of having a life to live. Taking unnecessary items for granted. Abusing the space we have. Ungrateful for the things we have. And wasting moments of our lives. Time passes us by so quickly. When we look back on our trail of footsteps we realise how much time has actually past us. Hours, days, months, years. We see how much time we have wasted. How much money was used. What we have gained and what we have lost. We realise how many people has walked in and out of our lives. Who has made a significant impact. Who has shaped the person we stand as today. It's not until we are older and look back on what our parents and guardians have done for us. Our early years were our most vulnerable and our parents were there to guide us through every step of the way. I think we need to stop for one moment and appreciate the tenderness and care our parents gave, and continues to pour forever more, with such unconditional love. I'm taking this day to thank not only my Mother (biased to the song) but also my Father who has been in my life through thick and thin, in worst of times and the best of times, even through disagreements and fights they helped me on my way, gave me life advice, and never doubted my ability to become who I wanted to become. Their support means the world to me and I could never have lived to my full potential without the beauty of my family.

Say

It's the moment you walked away from.
It's wanting the last word.
It's the chance you had in your hand.
It's the time it slipped away.
It's the moment you should have said it.
It's treading on thin ice.
It's the wrong line at the right time.
It's the right line at the wrong time.
It's the chance you took for granted.
It's the goodbye that wasn't meant to happen.
It's the greeting that changed your life.
It's something you could of done better.
It's the thing you should have done better.
It's that thought of a second chance.
It's the person you fell so hard for.
It's the inspirational pillow case.
It's the perfect word.
It's the perfect line.
It's the perfect speech.
It's the perfect moment.
It's your favourite track on your 90's CD.
It's the poem you read every day.
It's when someone else takes your exact thoughts.
It's when your idea becomes someone else's treasure.
It's when you change a life or when it changes you.
It's finding the most amazing thing to say.
It's deriving what not to say.
It's proactive thinking.
It's your everyday connection to what's going on around you.
It's your perspective on being.
It's your input to the world.
It's your opinion.
It's what matters.
It's what matters to you.
It's as simple as a noise.
It's the complexity of your mind.
It's as wondrous as a new born baby.
It's as beautiful as your vows...

It has been one of those days where such magical and amazing images come to mind though the difficulty of having to put them to words is mind boggling. Seeing the most beautiful and creative image is harmless to those around us, unless those images are portrayed in a visual context for them to see it and there is opportunity for discrimination, negativity, opinion, disapproval. Putting such thoughts onto paper, into sentences and even into movement is sometimes a very hard thing to accomplish and we feel self conscious about our findings. However, we need to realise that sometimes our most ridiculous and brainless ideas can turn into a captivating source of something powerful. Imagine all the times you wanted to talk to your crush but never did. Imagine if they felt the same. Imagine the impact your words would have been if you listened to your gut instincts and just went for it. If you didn't say something, would things be so different? Sometimes a few words can save someone's life. If you're getting a reaction you never wanted to face, it will only make you a stronger person and you can feel you've tried in some way or another. If there was nothing to come of it, it will help you begin the next chapter of your life. It's all about standing up for what you believe in and saying how you truly feel. Don't be afraid to speak your mind. Tell the ones you love and mean it when you say you love them. Have purpose in what you say. Say all the things you have always wanted to say, in respect to those around you. Don't let yourself become someone else's doormat. You are you and you are nobody else's you. Speak out. Reach out. Say it with authority. Say what you need to say.

Fragile

One of those days where your soul can't choose what it wants to feel. Everything seems so bipolar. Like a beautiful puzzle with one piece to go then the entire image is thrown in the air and scattered on the floor. Too many fragments to put back together. Just hope that some of the pieces will find their way back into the picture. Somehow. Sometime, soon.

Six thoughts at once I can't focus on one
Seven days a week but my life has just begun
So caught in emotion and I'm overcome
As I'm falling down I come undone

Sometimes I feel like I'm alone
Sometimes I feel like I'm not that strong
Sometimes I feel so frail so small
Sometimes I feel vulnerable
Sometimes I feel a little fragile
A little fragile

In six thousand years what will this mean
Words from the heart or a melody
So caught in emotion and I'm overcome
As I'm falling down I come undone

Sometimes I feel like I'm alone
Sometimes I feel like I'm not that strong
Sometimes I feel nothing at all
Sometimes I feel vulnerable
Sometimes I feel a little fragile
A little fragile

If people can see right through my eyes
Like an open door that I can't disguise
I won't be afraid from the tears I cry
I'll not run I'll not hide this is how I feel inside
A little fragile
A little fragile

Sometimes I feel like I'm alone
Sometimes I feel like I'm not that strong
Sometimes I feel so frail so small
Sometimes I feel vulnerable
Sometimes I feel a little fragile

Headlights On The Highway.

Whatever it is you need, I pray I am.

When you meet the love of your life. The one. The person who you can see living with for the rest of your life. To live young with and to grow old with. Share the memories throughout each day, everyday, together. Your whole world. The souls recognition of it's counterpoint in another. The symbol of eternity. Like a planet orbiting someone's sun. Sitting with someone in complete silence and leaving feeling you've had the best conversation. Loving with a love that is more than just love. Soul meets soul on the cusp of lovers lips. The one to hold your sorrow. The one to kiss the tears. The love too hard for goodbyes. The longing to kiss on arrival. Where the heart tells you different to your mind. The warm feeling as you wake. When no one agrees more than what your heart knows. When fantasy becomes reality. When your whole life turns upside down for this one person. It makes you stop and love them even more. Their love in return is more precious then any gem or gold. You become a prisoner of love. Sentenced to life. Because of two stolen hearts. The perfect crime...

When you find that person hold on to them with all your breath before its too late. Treat your man, respect your lady, be gentle and kind. Most of all, with absolute and unconditional love, live for them. Breathe the air they live for, be the hand to hold, embrace the tender moments and give selflessly and graciously to them. Be everything they need, and love the person you fell in love with. Fight for their love and learn to love the fight. They are the light of your existence. And when the light seems dim, pray that you are everything for them. Pray that whatever it is they need, you will be. And your light will be fulfilled with joy and happiness for eternity.

Dynamite.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and feel everything is right where its supposed to be, you wake up wanting to throw your hands to the sky and know life is worth celebrating? These are the days I love to dance the streets, put on my favourite tracks and just jam. When I feel alive, like nothing can burst my bubble of happiness, I put on my baggy cargos and a singlet, put my hands up in the air, holla and drop!

Sometimes we need to feel the beat and just let our bodies take control. Pulling the pin on a grenade and throwing ourselves into a crowd of smiles. Learn to enjoy the moment of freedom and grasp the feeling of celebrating who you are. There is no other feeling worth more than your own happiness. Knowing that you are content with life in general and love the person who walks the Earth. Its a magical feeling when you can turn on the ipod, sense a buzz and just dance the way you feel. Don't hold back. If your on the bus, walking down the street or just bumming around the house turn the volume up and groove to the beat. Let others be envious. Have no shame in the person who walks in your shoes everyday, be the one you've always wanted to be. Blow their minds with your amazing energy. AND Light it up like DYNAMITE!
