The closest people in your life are usually the ones who seem the furtherest away. Especially when you need them the most. The ones who once held your hand is now holding someone else's. The friend who once showed you the whole world is now a smear of hazy smoke. The pure sanctuary called home suddenly becomes a fiery heartache. Now the teary droplets just fall to the ground, no one there to wipe them. Flames to dust. Lovers to friends. Every second of the day someone somewhere in the world sheds a tear, laughs in hysterics, falls in love, falls out of love, tells a lie, reveals the truth, hurts another soul, mends a heart, loses a friend, and meets their straw to their berry. People walk in and out of our lives everyday and sometimes we lose the people who have imprinted the largest footstep on our hearts. Is it just fate? We question why we have to bid our farewells to these loved ones. We question truth and why the truth sometimes hurts so much. Is it fair to say sometimes not knowing the truth is better than suffering the pain of the actual truth? Some would beg to differ. Truth is an integral part to any relationship and without the genuine certainty, that relationship will eventually fade. So my heart tonight goes to those who feel they have lost the people most important to them.
Remember: "Those who don't matter, mind. And those who matter, don't mind"
